Morgan Brand History
Morgan Motor Company was founded in 1910 by H.F.S. Morgan in Malvern Link, England. The first three-wheeler was built in 1909 for personal use and production officially began the following year. Morgan Motor Company was registered as a private limited company in 1912.
Three-wheelers dominated output from the 1910s through the 1930s, with the V-twin and F-series models achieving notable racing success. The brand introduced its first four-wheeler, the 4/4, in 1936. The Morgan +4 followed in 1950, and three-wheeler production finally ended in 1952.
H.F.S. Morgan died in 1959. His son Peter Morgan passed away in 2003. In 2019 the Morgan family sold majority ownership to InvestIndustrial while keeping a minority stake. This ownership change coincided with a significant visual refresh in 2020.

Morgan Logo Symbolism
The primary symbol present throughout every Morgan logo is stylized wings. This element was inspired by Captain Albert Ball, a famous World War One British flying ace. The connection originated from the sensation that driving a Morgan three-wheeler was the nearest thing to flying on the ground.
All logo versions have maintained a circular medallion format along with a central cross or ring and the Morgan wordmark. Typography has consistently used geometric sans-serif letters in uppercase, evolving only slightly from bold masculine forms to cleaner modern styling. The core color palette of blue, silver or grey, and white has remained associated with British luxury and engineering quality across more than a century.
The wings motif appears in the Morgan car logo from the very first version through to the present day. Every redesign has explicitly referenced and evolved this original symbol introduced during the 1909–1910 founding period.
Morgan logo history shows remarkable consistency. The brand has updated its Morgan emblem only a handful of times while always preserving the central wings symbol. This approach perfectly matches the company’s reputation for continuity and hand-crafted tradition.
