Everus Brand Overview
Everus (Chinese: 理念 or Li Nian) was established in 2008 by Guangqi Honda, the joint venture between Guangzhou Automobile Group and Honda Motor Co. The brand was positioned as the first foreign automaker effort by Honda to develop vehicles under a marque owned by its Chinese joint venture partner. It operated solely within the People’s Republic of China.

Everus Logo Evolution
The visual identity of the brand remained consistent throughout its existence with no redesigns recorded.
2008–2020: Original Everus Logo

The original Everus logo served as the sole visual identity from the brand’s founding in 2008 through its discontinuation. This design was applied across both the internal combustion engine model and the later electric vehicle phase without any modifications.
- Design: Stylized wordmark “EVERUS” in uppercase sans-serif letters with prominent Chinese characters “理念” (Li Nian) integrated
- Colors: Blue and silver tones consistent with the Honda joint venture aesthetic
- Changes: None documented during the brand’s 12-year existence
- Context: Introduced at brand founding in 2008 and used on all production models including the S1 and VE-1
The Everus car logo appeared on the first production vehicle launched in 2011 and continued unchanged when the brand returned with an electric model in 2018. This consistency in the Everus emblem reflected the stable ownership structure between GAC Group and Honda throughout the marque’s lifetime.
When the brand entered its electric vehicle period with the VE-1, the same Everus symbol was carried over without alteration. The Everus badge therefore spanned both the initial 2011 model and the 2018 electric revival, creating a unified visual presence across the brand’s entire history.
Following the 2020 decision to end the independent brand, the Everus car symbol was removed as models were integrated into the main GAC Honda lineup. This marked the conclusion of the marque’s independent identity rather than any evolution in its visual elements.
The original logo design remains a reference point for understanding this short-lived but notable joint venture experiment between a global automaker and its Chinese partner.
