Geometry Brand Overview
Geometry was announced by Geely Auto Group at the end of 2018 as an independent pure-electric sub-brand. The brand applies Geely’s latest technologies in intelligence, connectivity, lightweight materials and vehicle architectures exclusively to battery-electric vehicles. Its first model, the Geometry A, was unveiled in April 2019 in Singapore as the company’s first globally strategic pure-electric car.
Geometry Logo Evolution
2019 – 2023: Metallic Geometric Emblem Period

The first logo era of Geometry ran from 2019 until 2023. It featured a modified version of the parent company Geely emblem placed above the wordmark.
- Design: Silver plate containing six segments arranged in chessboard order using two shades of gray with light silver raised sections and darker flat sections
- Colors: Gradient silver and gray emblem paired with dark gray lettering
- Changes: Occasionally included Chinese characters “几何” alongside the English name
- Context: Directly based on Geely’s corporate logo with minimalist modifications to signal an innovative and futuristic electric vehicle brand
2022 – present: Minimalist Wordmark Period

Geometry introduced its second and current logo in 2022. The redesign removed the metallic emblem entirely and adopted a wordmark-only identity.
- Design: Extended geometric sans-serif typeface in uppercase with clean straight contours
- Colors: Solid black lettering
- Changes: Elimination of the previous silver chessboard badge to create an extremely minimalistic appearance
- Context: The refresh followed modern design trends and strengthened the brand’s stylish minimalist identity while preserving recognizability for the young brand
Naming and Meaning
The name Geometry comes from the mathematical discipline that “describes our world as people see it.” The letters and forms used in mathematical geometry represent infinite possibilities, mirroring the infinite potential of the brand’s future electric vehicle range. In China the brand operates as Geely Jihe, retaining the same conceptual foundation.
Geometry Logo History and Timeline
Key milestones in the brand’s short history are closely tied to its visual identity updates. Late 2018 saw Geely announce the global Geometry brand for premium electric cars. April 2019 marked the official unveiling of the Geometry A in Singapore and the adoption of the first Geometry logo. The brand continued using the metallic emblem until the 2022 strategic refresh that introduced the current minimalist wordmark.
This Geometry logo history reflects the brand’s rapid evolution from its 2019 launch under the Geely umbrella to its present focus on clean, modern electric-vehicle design language.
The Geometry emblem, Geometry symbol and Geometry badge evolved from a silver geometric chessboard design to a refined black wordmark, representing the brand’s maturation in the competitive electric vehicle market.
