Brand Overview

Mazzanti Automobili was established in 2002 in Gello di Pontedera, Pisa, Italy, by Luca Mazzanti, who remains owner and CEO. From 2002 to 2010 the company operated jointly with Walter Faralli under the name Faralli & Mazzanti, combining classic car restoration with supercar development. After the 2010 split, Mazzanti Automobili continued independently with a philosophy centered on limited-production, handcrafted hypercars for markets including Europe, Russia, China, and the United Arab Emirates.

The company maintains a boutique approach that blends traditional Italian craftsmanship with contemporary engineering. Its headquarters continue to serve as the center for design and production, targeting an output of five cars per year. Testing and development take place at the Pontedera Circuit and Autodromo di Modena.

Brand History and Milestones

The company began in 2002 as Faralli & Mazzanti, developing the F&M Antas as its first handcrafted exotic sports car along with the F&M Vulca models in V12 and S 2+2 coupé variants. In 2010 Luca Mazzanti and Walter Faralli divided their operations, with Mazzanti Automobili turning its full attention to new supercar design while Faralli Restauri specialized in classic car restoration.

Between 2011 and 2013 the company invested three years in developing the Mazzanti Evantra with design support from Zsolt Tarnok. Full-sized models were completed in 2012. The international debut occurred in 2013 when the Evantra was unveiled at the Top Marques Monaco Show, where it was also selected by Sony for inclusion in the PlayStation 4 game Driveclub. The vehicle, together with the company and its founder, was subsequently added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Tuscan Design (Mu.De.To.).

Key Products

The F&M Antas established the company’s early design capabilities during the Faralli & Mazzanti period. The Mazzanti Evantra, launched in 2013, became the flagship mid-engine coupé and limited-production hypercar. Recognized as one of Italy’s fastest road-legal cars, it exceeded 250 mph and played a central role in building the brand’s global reputation for luxury and performance.

Production of the Evantra helped shift the company toward its current target of five cars per year. The model’s success provided the foundation for the independent Mazzanti Automobili identity expressed in the 2016 logo.

Legacy and Recognition

The Mazzanti Evantra earned a place in the permanent collection of the Museum of Tuscan Design (Mu.De.To.) alongside the company and founder Luca Mazzanti. Its selection for the Sony PlayStation 4 simulator Driveclub extended the brand’s visibility into gaming and digital media.

This recognition reinforced Mazzanti’s position among notable Italian supercar manufacturers. The evolution from a combined restoration and development workshop to a dedicated boutique hypercar producer is reflected in both the company’s timeline and its current visual identity.
